Because of our constant effort to provide you with the highest quality of care, we insert a temporary crown to protect the implant site while your custom, permanent crown is being created. The titanium post inserted into your jaw bone will hold the temporary crown in place. This is until your custom crown is ready to be inserted.

Implant Repairs

While rare, sometimes implants can become damaged or break as a result of excessive stress over time. Typically, this occurs after frequent chewing of hard objects. It is important to contact our office immediately after noticing the damage to your implant, and we will make every effort to see you the same day.

Once in our office, we will assess the damage, making sure to inspect the post implanted into the bone of your jaw. If the dental implant itself is broken or damaged beyond repair, we will remove it. We will then provide a temporary crown to cover the post and maintain the look of a complete set of teeth. Meanwhile, another custom crown will be made to insert once ready.
